I am so sorry that I haven't written recently! Its been realy crazy around here!
Today the poet laureate was supposed to come and give us a "very entertaining" lecture and reading. We (meaning Oxprep) got a notice from him saying that he hadn't even flown out to England due to the fact that he had Shingles. Yuck.
So, Rachel (one of the prettiest women I have ever met-barbie sized, blonde hair...) took me and a small group of 11 other kids on a tour of the Bodleian Library.
When I group up, I will have to own a library designed after this one. This library owns every published book in existance today, along with a first edition Shakespeare and Shelley, as well as a very impressive collection of ancient (1,000 BC) classical books. This is a quite famous library with 6 trademarks. You might know this library as the "Restricted/Nicholas Flammel" Library from the Harry Potter movie,The Sorceror's Stone.
After the tour, I headed off with my creative writing class to recite some poetry. I (of course) recited Shakespeare 116. I went last and I feel very proud of my performance.
My philosophy teacher(Thea Goodsell) decided to take us up Magdelaine (pronounced Maudulaine) tower. I had a slight attack of Acrophobia but managed to get through it alright.
I love you!
-Lolo
